It probably is time to branch out. But you don't have to do it all at once. Have a holiday without family, then have one with family. They won't feel shut out, and you can slowly adapt to what you want to be.

I'll talk to her and see what she thinks I guess

@BoredPanda I hope she's okay with it. As long as you don't cut her out completely.

I won't 🙂
stay with your mom. One day, you will have memories when she can no longer go.

Thank you its good to have your opinion, I do enjoy time with her too! Do you go on holiday with your son much?
no.

@thinkbigaboutlife sorry to hear that

I'm pretty sure if you told her you wanted to go check out a couple things alone, she wouldn't take offense.
Then again, it's just a few days. Next trip is all yours. You plan where, how and who you take with you, if anyone.
When you've got some independence, a trip with mom might be more fun.

@BoredPanda Combine them! They don't have to be separate, in fact traveling is more fun with friends. The trick is finding good traveling companions.

I haven't been on one with my parents since I was 16, but I go with my adult kids every couple of years. Depends on the relationship.
BoredPanda · 22-25, M
@SW-User how old are your kids? Do they go with friends as well?
