How old should you stop going on holiday with your parents?

I'm on holiday with my mum now and I feel trapped. It's just a few days but I feel like I should be doing my own thing now, how do I tell her?
I really appreciate it but feel like I need to be out with friends.. Any thoughts?

It probably is time to branch out. But you don't have to do it all at once. Have a holiday without family, then have one with family. They won't feel shut out, and you can slowly adapt to what you want to be.

@BoredPanda Sounds like you are a good son. But she also wants you to grow and have your own life, even if it might be difficult to let you go. You seem like you've got the intelligence to deal with this. Just plan a summer break with friends. It'll be okay.
