Just figure out how much you can afford to lose, because you WILL lose everything you gamble with. Allow 300 per night for your room or a little more, and if you share the room you can save money.
All your dinners will cost about $40.00 before tip if you eat out. My parents used to find a grocery store, and go back to the room with a bag full of juice and soda and cheese and crackers, chips, some bread, starbucks coffee in bottles, and some fruit. It's much cheaper than eating out three times a day. You can buy all you need for three for about a hundred dollars.

@cherokeepatti If they drive away from the strip, the locals buy their groceries a little bit farther away. They can google locations for Winco, which is supposed to have good prices. They can get a Lyft there, cheaper than a cab if they don't have a rental car.
