Unless my companion and I aee closely attuned and both are joyfully willing to go where the other really wants to go - I far prefer alone. Nothing worse than dragging a mopey mugwamp to a new restaurant or an old battlefield.

I've done both. Sometimes I enjoy travelling alone.

This is how I'm starting to feel, that travelling with someone else just takes a lot of the freedom you left home to get in the first place :(@Travelbug

Johnny O' Linger took me back to 1763, Amboise, France so I could have a chat with Louis Claude de Saint Martin, once. We all had a jolly good time and Johnny was showing me how he could do loup de loup in his time machine. He really knows how to drive that thing, you know!!

I'm with mamapolo. It really depends upon the company. I've had great experiences traveling with people I love being with, and great experiences when I'm on my own. The wrong person can ruin a trip. All that being said, when you travel with someone you're in tune with, it's the best experience.
Alone is best for me

I travelled alone for 35 years trucking all over. I really enjoyed the solitude . But I now like to have company when I travel.

I have been traveling. It is better with someone. At least I don't have to stress about it alone
