In the United States, speaking fluent Spanish and English is essential in some customer service jobs.

@Mariocrespo8546 Exactly. If you are fluent in Spanish companies can use you on the Spanish speaking line. I can speak pidgin Spanish, and when I worked customer service the poor people waiting for someone who could speak Spanish would get so tired of waiting they would call back and try the English speaking line.

Sometimes, between my small amount of Spanish and their small amount of English, we could get their problem fixed. BUT all US companies need to hire more English/Spanish bilingual employees in customer service.

And there are SO many areas where Spanish is needed. Police departments 911 lines...everywhere!!!
