Just in England, I need to visit Middlesex, Northamptonshire, Cheshire, Norfolk, Gloucester, Somerset, Kent, Amesbury, Sussex, Surrey, and lots of other places. I have visited a few spots in Kent already. Then I need to go to Scotland and Ireland. My ancestors were spread all over the UK.

@exexec That's quite a trip, Cheshire is my home county.

@SW-User Some of the places in Cheshire might not be there now: Wilmslow (Allred family); Prestbury (Williamson family); Pownall-fee (Pearson and other families). Other Cheshire families were Janney and Taylor.

@exexec Wilmslow and Prestbury are certainly still there, very up market sought after places. I don't know Pownall-fee.

@SW-User These were 17th Century communities that probably were swallowed by larger cities. My folks came to the Colonies a long time ago.

@exexec You would probably still find the names locally. I traced my own family back to 1600s in tve same part of cheshire. Most of the names that turned up were in my class at school. I looked up Pownall fee, it's now an area of Wilmslow. Wilmslow is pretty much a commuter town for Manchester, Prestbury is still relatively small.
