I Have a Scar

My body has scars telling a story of what I have been through. Scars on my hand, back, tummy. But the scars in my heart and soul are invisible, yet much larger than those on my skin. Or maybe you can see them if you dare look in my eyes, but most people look away, unable to bear the depth of those feelings.

That is why so many of us meditate daily. When you have control over your mind thoughts, then your going over past hurt will begin to decrease.
You carry the hurt on, when you mull over in your mind what others have done to you, so you can lessen the hurt that is up to you.

I do practice various forms of mindfulness but I am not sure any qualify as meditation or not. I am glad you have found something that works for you as finding inner peace is a wonderful goal. I am working towards that, just have a way to go yet.

I am sorry, the scars on our heart and souls are eternal. i have many of those scars and the one who gave them doesn't even feel it.
