My dad is volunteering on a recovery dive this morning.

There have been so many deaths on our waters this summer that I have lost count. It usually happens a couple of times a year but this feels extreme.

I see tourists and even locals acting unsafely all the time. I don't want to come off as though I am victim blaming but...so many of these tragic accidents were 💯 avoidable.

Please be safe and respect the power of nature when you're out in the wilds, people.

It makes no sense. I saw a video on this woman and her parents who recently went hiking in the desert on an extremely hot day. She ended up dying and her parents are in critical condition

Grown adults who put themselves in this situation have no one to blame but themselves

I stumbled acros a YouTube the other day that said Dollywod was flooded. The guy drove to entrance and it was covered with high, fast moving, brown water.

@SwampFlower aren't the mountains in the upper NW of your state. Are you near Ashville?
SwampFlower · 31-35, F
@samueltyler2 I am about 1.5 hours west of Asheville. The mountains line the entire western border of the state.

@SwampFlower I have to look at a map.
