I'm Worried About My Future

I joined this premium job search website that is said to work. I applied for ten positions yesterday and only heard back from one telling me I didn't get it. I used to think if there were a lot of opportunities, that would increase my chances of getting a job. But now I'm only thinking it will increase my chances of getting rejected. Rejection comes so naturally than something working out for me. Happiness comes in short supply for me. I was happy when I found this website because I thought maybe it was a sign of things to come but now I'm starting to think this could just be another opportunity for me to get hurt again.

Don't know about the US but I wouldn't expect a reply from most job applications until the 'closing date' for applications has been passed, if you don't hear by then you haven't got it. But job hunting is like trying to kill an enemy you can't see, you just carpet bomb the lot. Apply, apply, apply. Make sure you have a CV together and make it is as good as it can be (without lying).
