i worry about my mum, even though my mum is alright

i'm very close to my mum and i think about my mum constantly, but my mum tells me i worry unecessarily, because she's doing alright for her age......my mothers elderly now, but i still worry.....is there a way i can stop all the worry?

i think it's i'm scared of my mum leaving me, because i don't think i could cope......my mum lives far from me now, i live alone in a little 3rd floor flat...we speak every day on the phone 4 times a day.

any thoughts on this?

I feel there is no way to truly stop worrying about an aging parent, especially one living alone. But, you can choose to accept that some things are out of your control. The best we can do sometimes is to cherish what we have while we have it. The rest is out of our hands.

@Homeorsomewherelikeit thankyou for your consolation, i realize a lot of this is out of my control and i should just enjoy what i have right now.

@darkmere1983 You’re welcome.
It’s easier said than done, I know.
Some days will always be harder than others. Stay strong 🩷

I understand and worry about my mom as well.
Start becoming more independent if your mother and that will slash the anxiety. 🙂
