This guy with his sorry face is using the atrocities committed by Muslim terrorists and thugs to promote his own bigoted agenda. His party belongs to the far-right Christian nationalist movement. These people use Manichean arguments. What we need is more humanism, not more religious wars.

Yes, I am worried about our future, yesterday in Berlin Germany a Muslim extremist ran people over with a truck, killing 12 and injuring 50, as they were doing their Christmas shopping.,we see this more and more often in the news now, what are we to think? These people do not understand humanism, what are we to do?
Develop awareness, foster intelligence and dialogue, and treat religion as part of the problem. There's no easy solution.

@EarthlingWise: I am well aware, those were rhetorical questions.
But they are questions worth asking. I think politicians are losing elections to populists because they failed to address legitimate fears. Anger in itself is not sufficient.

@EarthlingWise: Yes, they failed to address legitimate fears,Obama keeps saying that terrorism has "nothing to do with Islam" and that we must not call terrorist acts "Muslim terrorism" when it is exactly what it is! What does it say in the Qu'ran "kill the infidels where ever you find them"? May be the Qu'ran has "nothing to do with Islam"
That's because there are millions of Muslims and not all of them are murderers, yet many of them seem brainwashed, like anyone belonging to a cult. It's politically and humanly risky to target such a large community.
I also want to speak tonight directly to Muslims throughout the world. We respect your faith. It's practiced freely by many millions of Americans, and by millions more in countries that America counts as friends. Its teachings are good and peaceful, and those who commit evil in the name of Allah blaspheme the name of Allah. The terrorists are traitors to their own faith, trying, in effect, to hijack Islam itself. The enemy of America is not our many Muslim friends; it is not our many Arab friends. Our enemy is a radical network of terrorists, and every government that supports them.

@EarthlingWise: I never implied that ALL Muslims were murderers, this is were many people get it wrong when one mention extremism and terrorism, they assume that one means ALL Muslims.

@EarthlingWise: But nobody can deny that particular religion is one of the worse and causing many problems now and it's totally wrong to keep approaching "the problems" in the political correct manner Islam is approached last 20-30 years, let's start with naming the problems and stop with denying it; Islam IS a violent religion, maybe Christianity is too but till now I never heard about attacks where Christians were shouting " God is the greatest" just before starting to spread death around.
Christian leaders caused a lot of massacres in the past, not to speak of the all the abuse committed towards women (accused of witchcraft, adultery, evil thoughts and practices) and kids. Religions belong in the past. They may have been progressive ages ago, now they're all about regression and manipulation.

@EarthlingWise: I don't deny that, it would be a better world without religion as well, but that doesn't mean one is a bigger problem atm than the other sorts.
