My doc said not to worry about the function of my kidney, that I'm not at risk because I don't have diabetes or high blood pressure.
She also said it's common for a kidney to decline, her words, a little after a heart surgery. That could be why I wasn't told. But still... I guess time will tell but I feel a load lifted.
