I Wish My Mind Had A Delete Button

As part of having Aspergers Syndrome, I possess a photographic memory. It is not all it is cracked up to be. My entire life can be played before my mind. With the embarrassing parts in HD. Embarrassing moments from elementary and middle school still surface from time to time. I also have a long memory for wrongs done against me, which makes keeping a grudge far to easy.

My problem is with scary memories. I try to distract myself, but I still wish I could remove them permanently. I keep hearing advice about not shoving them away and just letting them sit there, but I still feel helpless sometimes. Anxiety disorder sucks :'(
