I Wish I Knew Then What I Know Now
I know my stepsister had another father, but neither she nor Mom ever mentioned him. I just know his last name was "Scott" and so was Linda's, but even so, the teachers she had and I followed knew me as "Linda's little sister." How I HATED that phrase. I never knew then why they used that!
I wish I knew my grandfather (Mom's father). I just know he died before I was born.And when my Mom's mother used to fail and my cousins put her in a nursing facility, I never knew where and when she died. After my father died I looked her up in the Internet, and found out she had died ten years before my father and I had no idea where she was buried! Nobody told our side of the family.
My mom is gone, and so are the members of her family - my aunt, her mom, her dad. My cousins are scattered all over the country - northern Illinois, California, Nevada.
I wish I knew where to contact them today.
