You are born with your own personality and identity and when you try to change that, just to fit in, it can be silly because people can and will be hurtful at times. It can even be dangerous. So why put yourself through that? Be you always.

@maskedbandit yes but also what about having pride in something. What about a sense of belonging to a group, a sex, a culture, a religion. An entire identity forged from ideals and beliefs and traditions from people no longer even living. To me i see it as silly.

@maskedbandit as long as i am living i have no choice but to be myself. If i was lying about myself that would be the same as the truth because the truth would be that i am a liar.

@maskedbandit i suppose im saying its inevitable to be nothing but myself though i understand your concept too. Its a concept people can identify with who don't see things the way i do. Philosophy really hasn't helped me much other than give me another form to waste time
