not when your professor says a whole lot of nothing and doesn’t give study guides. very lazy and obviously does not care about the student.
PetiteJulie01 · 22-25, F
@zaatar what if the professor says a lot of things and has high expectations and the student doesn’t bother to try? That’s the students fault
cerealguy · 26-30, M
For some. Some teachers really confuse theur students too
PetiteJulie01 · 22-25, F
@cerealguy yeah that’s true but students should ask

Only had one course where the professor was in way over her head. Like, she could do research (though it was shaky at best and just a rehash of other research), but she couldn't teach worth a damn. Made us buy garbage she didn't even know how to utilize, memorized enough of the course in the hour before finals to pass, and the $363 book was bought back for $11. She wasn't around the next semester.

That never happened to me, the only times I felt something was too burdensome I quit the class myself and generally got great grades, but if I was so determined that I didn't choose to withdraw and someone else did it, I would be embroiled in rage to be honest
PetiteJulie01 · 22-25, F
@th3r0n yeah good point. I’d be pissed too

Unpopular opinion, to a degree.
People learn at different rates and people learn in different ways. Some have disabilities that make learning harder, so I do think that these people need additional support.
However, yes; What you put in is what you get out.

@JasminD disabilities or emergency family things happen yes, but they need to put the effort in the work. NO excuses. If they can’t do that it’s the students fault!

Not if you didn't understand the assignment and the professor has ignored your request for help.

@PetiteJulie01 Yes but that's not always the case.
PetiteJulie01 · 22-25, F
@Queendragonfly what do you mean?
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
@PetiteJulie01 Sometimes the teacher is the irresponsible one.
