Hops are not a measure of manhood. It's just one aspect of flavour variation. As someone who enjoys ales and brewing, it's not a graph, it's just two simple categories:
1. Those who drink mass-produced swill lagers with big advertising campaigns. May even stick a lime in the neck of certain brands and call it summer.
2. Those who drink finely brewed ales and lagers with their own discerning opinions on what they like. I have great brewing friends who prefer either the more malty or hoppy end of the spectrum and all kinds of variations.
I'm not particularly judgemental of what anyone does, but I find category two more interesting.

I'm not a big fan usually. I had one recently in a Thai place where they had their own and it was made with lime leaves and lemongrass, it was actually really good.

I don't think it puts you in any territory on any graph.
We each like what we like.

@CopperCicada Now, a top shelf vodka or tequila. In beer, no middle ground between a Guinness/Murphy's and light.

@CopperCicada If you’ve never had Murphy’s Irish Stout you should try it. Hard to find in States outside of NY, Boston, Chicago. I find it smoother than Guinness. From County Cork, so I think Guinness being from Dublin out the fix in as to which was more distributed widely.
