I Have An Unpopular Opinion

I’m 100% for abortion.

Do you know how rare it is in nature for an animal to take on an offspring that is not its own? It does not happen often, you can see this with humans as well. Thousands of babies/kids are put up for adoption but never find a family. Many facing abuse within the system. They struggle to make it once they age out of the system. Many run into issues with the law, homelessness, and finding a job.

In nature, it is common for the mother to rid herself of any unwanted babies. Fortunately abortion gives us the opportunity to terminate the offspring before it can realize death is upon it. Any other animal will eat, kill, or abandon its unwanted offspring after birth. It is not natural to keep the unwanted babies around if you can not handle motherhood for any reason.

Before you say we can’t compare ourselves to animals, I must say we “ain’t nothing but mammals”. This is a universal thing across the animal kingdom, it effects us.

My opinion is that it’s never ok to kill unless you’re defending your life. Seems reckless and barbaric to kill out of selfish convenience. In the case of rape and the morning after pill should solve those rare instances. When I say rare I’m referring to the small percentage of women who want abortions in those instances.
You’re defending your life from a kid that will ruin it. @12345abc
Prevention is the best option. Kids don’t = life ruined @MorbidCynic
I believe the rest of my points were pretty valid though.

@MorbidCynic Kids don't ruin parents life. It's the other way around.
Do you think the teen mom isn’t being held back from living her best life over a little mistake? Or how many women can’t continue their career or education because of one accidental pregnancy? @BryanSunshine
@12345abc sometimes prevention fails.
I’d be interested to see some data on the number of people who are using legitimate preventive measures who then resort to abortion. We disagree on this issue and probably others but I still think you’re beautiful and an amazing lady ❤️@MorbidCynic

And this too, would equally make a good case for abortion rights.

Yes there are people who will try to be the best parent if they can't do abortion. And some will succeed. And some wont. And then there are those who wont be this way, who wont even try.

"You’re defending your life from a kid that will ruin it." And you're defending the kid's life from a parent, or the high abuse foster care system, that would ruin it.

The teen mom's life is held back, and so also the quality of life for the child. When she finishes her education and career is settled then that might be a more preferable time for her, and more preferable for the child.

Sure there are no guarantees on anything. But you wouldn't be so foolish to choose to walk in a dark alley in the middle of the night in a high crime neighborhood versus walking in your own neighborhoid that you've chosen to live at because the crime rate is low. Sure you can still actually end up safe in the former and be attacked in the latter, but you wouldn't increase your risk unless you're a masochist.

@12345abc So you’re against war unless your country is threatened with total annihilation? If your country was invaded, and no one would be killed if you surrendered, you’d be OK with that, even if it meant that you might have to move, speak a different language, or follow a different religion?
