I Have An Unpopular Opinion

I’m 100% for abortion.

Do you know how rare it is in nature for an animal to take on an offspring that is not its own? It does not happen often, you can see this with humans as well. Thousands of babies/kids are put up for adoption but never find a family. Many facing abuse within the system. They struggle to make it once they age out of the system. Many run into issues with the law, homelessness, and finding a job.

In nature, it is common for the mother to rid herself of any unwanted babies. Fortunately abortion gives us the opportunity to terminate the offspring before it can realize death is upon it. Any other animal will eat, kill, or abandon its unwanted offspring after birth. It is not natural to keep the unwanted babies around if you can not handle motherhood for any reason.

Before you say we can’t compare ourselves to animals, I must say we “ain’t nothing but mammals”. This is a universal thing across the animal kingdom, it effects us.

I'm just amazed at how cold you sound towards unborn children. It's shocking. How about this. Let's do a survey of all the kids in the foster care system today, and of all the adults who aged out of foster care w/o having been adopted. Let's ask them one simple question:

Do you wish you had been aborted before birth?

If we can get 51% of them to answer "Yes", then I will change my mind on this topic.
I don’t care about your opinion. I just wanted to talk about my own thoughts. This isn’t me trying to change anyone’s mind lol @BryanSunshine

@BryanSunshine hmm I kind of agree with this too. I feel a bit uncomfortable talking about unwanted children like they are a disease
Well they’re not a blessing @Gothichorror

What WE think of them doesn't matter. They have as much right to be born as kids who are wanted and loved. You seem to be looking at this from a selfish point of view. "I don't want them around, so they shouldn't be." What about what THEY want?
Well they don’t have thoughts or expression of emotion. The earth is in turmoil, and all you care about is some baby who will most likely do nothing with its life? @BryanSunshine

@MorbidCynic anything that comes in contact with your vagina is a blessing 🙏
What 😂 @Gothichorror

"The earth is in turmoil, and all you care about is some useless baby who will most likely do nothing with its life? "

No, that is most certainly not all I care about.

"Well they don’t have thoughts or expression of emotion."

1) How do you know?
2) But they will. Just like you do now. If you are so pro-abortion, let me ask you the question I propose we ask foster kids: "Do you wish YOU had been aborted before birth?"

I really hope you are not this cold an uncaring in real life. I hope you are just putting up a front here in SW.
1- Well abortions are typically done before cognitive ability- that’s how I know lol

2- Their opinions don’t matter, most people have the instinct to survive, it’s ingrained into our genetics to do anything to survive. Most will choose life because they fear death. That does not mean they should have been alive.

No. My opinions and personality are very consistent.

"2- Their opinions don’t matter"

That's the problem here. You see unborn children as nothing but a clump of cells, where I see them as a human life that has just as much right as you and me to stay alive as long as possible.
If they can not survive outside the womb, they are hardly a life. @BryanSunshine

@BryanSunshine I think most people in support of abortion are complete idiots tbh but I feel the same way about most prolifers. There's nothing actually wrong with abortion itself.
BryanSunshine · 51-55, M
@DunDunDun "There's nothing actually wrong with abortion itself."

Ever? For any reason? At any stage?
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
@BryanSunshine That's why I said abortion itself, it can be wrong based on things like how far long you are, but I'm just saying abortion itself isn't wrong. Kinda like how having sex itself isn't wrong, but having sex with the wrong people or not using protection, ect. can be wrong.

@DunDunDun Agree to disagree. I think abortion is a monumental, heavy decision that will leave emotional scars for the rest of one's life. Sometimes, sadly, it may be a necessary evil. Should it be against the law? As much as I hate to say it, no. But, imo, it should be used as an extreme last resort, and never as a means of birth-control after the fact.

That's my opinion, and I'm very much aware that others will disagree.
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
@BryanSunshine That actually is basically how I think of it, I don't see it as not a big deal, just something that isn't immoral and is sometimes needed, but it would be nice if no one ever had to get one
@BryanSunshine I don’t wish I’d been aborted, but i think that option should have been available and 100% my mother’s choice.

Do you wish you had been killed in a war? If not, how can you support war? That’s how your question sounds.
