/: I hear you there, seems like everyone is expecting strange things for themselves. All you can do is try not to do this yourself. Which will make a great impact of being kind :D

I totally agree with you.

Its rough but a good habit to get into is not defining your happiness on the actions of others. It certainly is not fair and I agree completely that people have taken to new lows. Everyone seems to be out for themselves nowadays.

@Hakphin: I think this exactly what is happening. We have forgotten how to BE human... So involved in ourselves that we have no time for decency towards others
Spinoza · M
@Manderz88: Totally. My last girlfriend was a decent bit younger than me and never had any issues cheating and when I found out and called her out on it, she said that it was her right as a person to do whatever she wanted and that I was just trying to control her. It's that mentality right there. Sure she has the right to do what she wants, but I also have the right to set boundaries and not be in a relationship like that.

It is a sad fact that humans as a race are generally failing in most if not all aspects. I'll tell you what helped me to have a better outlook on life. I stopped watching current affairs shows and the news. Made life a much happier place straight away :)

@69mrsmith69: thank you!! I try to avoid it, but in going to make a more conscious effort .. things are just so depressing.. makes me wish I was a kid again.. not because of "adulting" but because the world seemed so much better then.. idk.

Another great tool is to live a mindful life, living in the now! I know it sounds like a strange thing to say, but in reality most of us either live in the past or the future in our thoughts, worrying about what should have been or what is going to be! It takes practice to be mindful and live in the present moment, but it is worth the effort to change your mindset 😘

@69mrsmith69: thank you I will try!

yes it is, I was up at the local high school this morning showing some students my trucks and talking with them about summer work I was called dude and man by a few of them
Manderz88 · 36-40, F
@MarineBob: I didn't mean how folks address others, but rather, how one behaves.. I work in service industry and so many people just don't care... But as for the calling "dude or man" .. is just a matter of generation.. sorry you feel that way, but I never mean disrespect when I use those words to address someone! :)

I know what you mean. Just had my own encounter with some incredibly rude person.
We're raising a self centered society. Wasn't like that when I was growing up
Manderz88 · 36-40, F
@Lonelybutneveralone: it wasn't like that when i was either, just recently... My children are respectful and "mind their manners" .. for the most part. But they are only 8 and 5.. I do agree with you, something happened and the world is different.. if you think about it, the farther our technology goes, the worse it gets. The whole world needs to take a digital break! (As I sit on my bed looking at my phone lol)
@Manderz88: lol!!! You put the biggest smile on my face with that last comment. I see it everywhere I go, people texting sitting next to others texting. Everyone in their own little world. We played outside as a boy, spent time with family often. Now days there's so much missing.we were taught manners, respect others. My parents wouldn't let me act the way so many people act these days.so many latch key kids because a parent has to work long hours to pay the bills. Too much outside influence, nasty things on the tube, etc

I'm sorry. I try my best
