Helping people has been my way of life since birth. Doing things to make peoples day is just part of who I am and what I do. I learned early that expecting someone to do the same for me should not be expected because I would be disappointed. Only I can make my day happy or miserable, it is my choice. If someone does something to make my day brighter I look at it as a surprise gift. It brings me joy and happiness to know I have the power to change others day and sometimes life by being me.

I practice this same thing. Being human sometimes gets in the way. ;) maybe being an alien is better. :)

spent my life working with people who needed someone to listen and guide them so they could again take charge of their own life and happiness. Spent 25 yrs working with disabled veterans. Being human did get in the way on occasion, not sure if an Alien could have handled it. LOL

@whatalife68: I applaud you for your service sir. Maybe you helped the many military men in my family. Thank you! 🍀💖🌈🌹🌞

One should be themselves and when someone perceives you as different than you are. Take a moment to review yourself. You may be projecting something different, but then they just may have a skewed perspective.

Who we are perceived as is often more powerful than who we really are. Make the two match, but don't worry about the outliers.

Yes TY :)I agree but this happens to be am ongoing thing with family. I'm sure I'm not the only one this happens to.

@Justpeaceandlove: Family is the worst to deal with. Sympathies...

@sunrisehawk: Thank you. I just let my guard down all. I hate when that happens. Lol
No, I don't really care tbh.. unless it's someone I'm close with. I just be myself, as usual and how others perceive me isn't any of my concern.

@Umile18: 🙂

Egoic thinking causes others to make it your concern. That's part of a learning from a workshop I had joined. 😣

Yes, still pretty much.

It's up to a point understandable that people want to benefit on those people who have things to offer. That shows that there are many people so wrong or absent minded as me.
People who try to look outside what they don't find or aren't dare to look for inside.
I see your point and I'm with you. You have the right to give what you want or feel like giving in any moment.
I pretty put up with what you offer here of you. I see it very helpful and significant.

Some people will ridicule you always for things they do not understand. Will always try to bring you down to their level of misery. :)

@Justpeaceandlove: I know it. It's sometimes hard because people need to be and feel accepted but once you finally chose to be yourself no matter what, and give others' opinions their real value, that is, opinions...you become stronger and at peace with yourself.
