Are you happy and proud of who you are today?

Or do you wish that you could go back to default mode to be the person you were before experiencing something that changed you? (like trauma or being hurt).

I'm proud of the progress I've made changing. My default was just mean. Nothing happened to make me that way. I'm undoing it.

The more honest I am with myself and what I want the worse decisions for society I seem to be making. So who we are at our core is rarely something to be proud of.

Content would be a better word. No desire at all to go back to any earlier time, even before hard times and times of pain. That was life.
