you will be fine. vision changes over the years so need new glasses regularly. you don't go blind from being out of focus. how are your classes going??? doing well in them???

@trackboy Thank you. I realise that I'm just anxious more than anything. I'm currently looking for a job :) I'm in my final year of college, and we don't have classes right now.

@beingawesome the lens gets stiffer as you get older so not as much focus range so you notice it being off more as you get older. most people have their glasses change every year or two. what is your major?? ready for final year of college?? why don't you have classes? would be time for your fall semester to start.

You are myopic. If it's not progressive myopia, you'd not lose your vision. Glasses will correct your vision and stop it from worsening because you won't be stressing and squinting your eyes to see things.

@SW-User One year ago it was -3.50 sph in my right eye. So surely it is progressive? And I'm not feeling comfortable working for long on computers now. Anxiety is hitting me pretty hard :|

@beingawesome You are still young, so your body is changing. Around 25, it will stabilize, but it won't worsen much. It may not be progressive, progressive means every month or so you may need new glasses. -1D in a year is usually not that bad. You are still under unifocal range. I'm not a doctor, but I know some physics and human eye to a good extent. You'll do fine, just don't stare at computers all the time. Take a break of 5 minutes every 1 hour. That will help your retina relax and eyes recover from short distance stress.

Okay. Thank you so much. It means a lot 😊
