i think that what i want is companionship, not really a 'relationship'

instead of going the rest of my life by myself....i'd like to find companionship so i don't feel so alone......as i live alone, lived alone 20 years, and just have my elderly mum & dad for support...and i also deal with a very difficult personality disorder.

as solitary and reserved as i am i don't think i could face being on my own for the rest of my life...the loneliness would send me under.

any thoughts?

If you're not looking for a deep, long-term relationship then joining a group where you can be superficial with people and enjoy a common interest might be the answer. I depends on the nature of your 'personality disorder' as to how easy you and the members of the group would find getting along.
