Is it smart?

I recently moved into a new place and have met some of my neighbors and they seem nice and their like “yes my name is such and such and I live in unit such and such” and I don’t feel comfortable letting them know my unit as i barely met them. I am very cautious when it comes to giving me personal things like even though we live in same apartment complex and I am like yes I live on the other side. I guess living alone as a relatively young female makes me more alert an anxious to reveal exactly where I live

One of the things you learn as you get more experience (code for older) is to do things the way you feel comfortable with and let others adapt to you..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman thank you! I appreciate this comment because I wanted to be like yes I live in this apartment number but I didn’t feel comfortable

I’d imagine that most of your neighbors see you going in and out. Just keep your doors locked.

@StepDad2 yes your right but I guesss because I moved to a completely different city where I don’t know anyone and so I think it makes me a little more cautious

@JaneCas
Always take precautions even in places that you’re familiar with. Don’t take chances these days.

Depends on the size of the building and whether or not the mailboxes are labeled.

It definitely reasonable to have that in mind.

Go with your gut instinct.
