I Live In My Head Too Much

I am a worry-thinker... I spend most of my time dealing with stress and anxiety? I've once consulted a friend and tried to think of alternatives on how to deal with this... Could you help me guys? that would be greatly appreciated.. :)

This is easy to solve. Consider this: what does worry accomplish for you in your life? You cannot change anything by worrying. You waste time with this undesirable emotion. There are various ways to change this. Every time you find yourself worrying do this: acknowledge how you are feeling. Are your worries valid? Could they stand a high chance of actually happening? I often find that worry is just anxiety or stress manifesting itself. It becomes an unhealthy coping mechanism. Consider how changing your mindset would improve your life. And when you have done all that, then think new thoughts. Say, my that might never happen. I am worrying needlessly. Let's just go do something purposeful or pleasurable. Garden. Read. Write. Watch a new movie. Stimulate yourself in nature. Hike. Walk. Spend some time with someone who would benefit from your effort. A nursing home resident. Volunteer at a hospital. Read to a shut-in. Soup kitchen volunteer. See how you have already started improving? I hope these solutions help. Keep us updated, please. They say it takes 21 days to change a habit. Worrying is just a habit. Try a new way. Thanks.
