I Live In My Head Too Much

When I was on EP, I posted over 200 stories. I have been thinking ALOT about one of them lately. To my recollection, the whole story was:

I was walking out of church after hearing a well written, well delivered, mentally stimulating, spiritually edifying sermon. I caught a glimpse of a woman who looked kind of like my ex- wife. Suddenly, I was very interested in studying my car keys.

In order to set up 2 questions about the sermon I have been thinking about ALOT lately, I have to quote 2 things that the man said.

He talked about how he was at a bonfire one night and asked everybody else there, "Do you love Jesus with all your heart?" To a man, they all said No. So, his reply was something like, "Go home, do whatever you have to do to make your answer YES, and come back here tomorrow night."
The next night came and he asked the same question, "Do you love Jesus with all your heart." All except for 1 of the men said YES the second time around.

After 1 of the gatherings he was approached by 1 of the other men. The other man asked him, "Do you know who those people are?" The Preacher replied, "No. The only one I ever met before was the host." The other guy said, "They all are millionaires or Billionaires. They could have funded your ministry for the rest of your life." The preacher than said, "Do I look like the kind of guy who would sacrifice souls for a few hundred thousand dollars?"

My 2 questions, which I would LOVE to know:

What did those men do in the 24ish hours between the 2 gatherings to (I assume honestly) change their answers from, "No, I don't love Jesus with all my heart" to "Yes, I do"?

Just what the heck does someone who would sacrifice souls for a few hundred grand look like?

Om going to try to answer your question......

First in the 24 hrs the men did nothing they just came back and told the pastor or priest or whatever he was what he wanted to hear..... Most people don't change unless something monumental happens to change them......

Second the person that would sacrifice souls for money looks just like you and me and everyone else on the block.
