I Listen to My Inner Voice
I am a very intuitive person. My inner voice has never led me astray. There have been times when I've doubted it, even denied it. It's usually because I want to think the best of people, give others a chance, not jump to conclusions or overreact. This culture places a great deal of value on logic, linear reasoning, and rational thought. Anything emotive is inferior, and only serves to validate what we already know based on concrete evidence. But intuition is an equally valid way of "knowing" if it's used properly. Some people don't understand it I suppose, because theirs has been suppressed and replaced, but that's for another story and another group.
When I'm keyed in, sometimes I can hear echoes of people's thoughts. I don't always know that what's in my mind is a reflection of another's thoughts until I receive confirmation from something they say or do. Makes me wonder how much of what floats through my head each day actually originated in my own mind.
My inner voice have never led me astray.
