Which voice will you listen to, when you're confused or can't make up your mind?

I choose to listen to God's voice....the one that gives me positive thoughts and leads my life in the direction that will enhance, make happy, and prosper my life.

Do you hear his voice as if someone was actually talking to you? Gordon B. Hinckley said that he speaks to God and receives his insight as if God was having a conversation with him. I've never heard the word or voice of God, but I do have a spiritual feeling every time I pray and talk to him.

@Lostpoet It depends on the situation. Sometimes he will give me a thought, sometimes an idea, he gives me inspiration on what to write through the Holy Spirit, sometimes a revelation, and resolutions to my problems.

Now, if you can imagine this. You know how you hear thoughts in your head, like the voice you hear when you think of things in your mind? I hear a voice like that, but not all the time. It really depends on the situation.

That voice can be very strong, and sudden, if I'm in danger. I have never heard his voice aloud, as if you had someone in the room talking to you, but the other way in my mind... very much so. In fact, the Lord leads me in different ways.

He even told me when my husband was going to die and how he was going to die and it happened just that way. Now I have only had about three incidents where His voice was that clear. I don't believe in consulting psychics and I'm not psychic, but I know God's voice when I hear it.

Years ago, I was working late where I was employed, and had just finished the task at hand for the evening. I gathered up my stuff and my boss, Mr. Smith, said to me, "I'll see you tomorrow!" And right away, instantly, God said just as clear as could be, in my head, "You won't be here tomorrow.", and I was absolutely stunned, but it was true. I wasn't at work the next day. I was in the hospital.

@Lostpoet Yes, that would be another way and I get that, too. We do feel in our spirit, the presence of the Holy Spirit at times. That's very good and I'm glad you do.
Amen sister, God's voice is the only sane one in my life!
