I Am Sad

Just had a whole fight with my parents. I am never going to be the kid that my parents will be proud of. They're too busy making sure my brother, who steals my parent's money to buy pot, is happy just because he said he wants to be a doctor. That I should be taking classes in my film degree despite that I already graduated. It doesn't matter how much work I do. I am never getting out of the suburbs where I live. It's too expensive to live in all of these city areas. My parents blame me to make themselves feel better instead of the world. They think because I am trying to get internships that I will not survive. Same with me taking English classes online to improve my writing. They don't care. It's never enough. I even have an interview online for a paid virtual internship that I know they won't care about. It's never enough.

Well, the only thing you can do is be proud of yourself. I mean, you should be if you're working this hard in order to get to your career. Cause once you finally get to do your career you'll have much more to be proud of. I've got a long way to go before I even get to mine (still am going through high school) but in the end I know I'll be proud since I know my dream is coming true.

I'm scared I'll die before that happens. It's not like when you're a little kid and your parents tell you that you can be whatever you want to be. It's all a sham because they want you to be what they pick for you.

@JewStar4Life: Oh. So do you really not want to do filming? Or do your parents not want you to? Cause you are your own person and you can do whatever career you want to. Cause a career isn't like a job, it's something that you love to do for a living, not just to get money. If you're wondering what I'm wanting to do for my career it's becoming a jeweler.

@KandiGhostcat: Not filmmaking. My dream career is acting but there's no opportunities around here. But I would want to write analytically about film. Like articles analyzing films.

@JewStar4Life: Oh okay. But isn't acting something you just have to know how to do or not? But then again you could have to have a degree of some sort probably. Have you ever thought about maybe becoming a comedian or something that's very similar to acting? Cause you could probably become a comedian if you're really good at acting.

@KandiGhostcat: There are classes to take in acting. Still no guarantee but yeah the craft of acting could be taken seriously. I was a theatre major in college but they wouldn't let me in their BFA or in any of their plays. I didn't want to take classes anyone with the people I auditioned against. It would be embarrassing for me to continue classes with them the full four years and never get a part. So I switched to film because it was still in entertainment and kept my theatre minor. All of those people in my classes were smart. They are all in New York right now.
