I see the hundred million scars
That lie on me
Beneath these thousand shining stars
And I cannot ask forgiveness

Because I am the man I am
And though I travel with no plan
I'm always as straight up as I can
As I writhe without remissness

So label me and cast that blame
Say you love me without the shame
Hug me as you call my name
But know I see straight through this

And alone I'll walk my winding road
Without a feeling to be told
I spoke my truth - for I am bold
But I know you're cloaked in your mists

And truly do I feel no shame
Despite your claims
Despite the blame
Despite the way that you remain
Beyond my gentle kisses
