Why do bad things happen to good people?
Good people are neither privileged nor favored over anyone else, that nothing bad should happen to them. We are all given the same chances and opportunities. Sometimes we do create our own problems, and the only way we can learn from them and how to enhance our lives and not stay stuck in the same old place, is to face them head on, allow them to challenge and teach us, and help us learn from our mistakes. They also make a stronger and grow our faith.
Problems/challenges are never there to hurt us, but to help us see what really needs changing in our lives, so we can live much happier lives. The Bible says the way to do that, is to put God first in your life. He always has our best interest at heart and he knows exactly how to lead us, so our lives can be so much better. He came to help us, not hurt us. When we know better, we do better.
Bad things happen because we live in a fallen world, with Satan giving us wrong direction. No one gets away with murder. They just think they do. They shall be held responsible before God for killing others. But one day, and I believe that's pretty soon, Jesus is coming back to make all things right again. We must prepare our hearts for that day, asking Jesus to forgive us of our sins, so we may be with him in heaven.
