I was blinded by your light.

Cold, worst than being dead.
I function like a machine
No heart.
Smile? What is that?

It felt like I’m drowning in these emotions
Engulfing my whole being
Am I sad? No.
I’m used to it.

Then you came, my ball of sunlight
My beacon
My guide
My everything.

You brought warmth
You showed me the way
Given me air to breathe
Made me felt so alive.

For years, I have never felt this way
Everything is brighter
