I Believe Everything Happens For a Reason

My mother recently got fired from her job as a social worker after being there for 10 years. The admins at her workplace were power hungry and she had different views than them. I hope this all happened so she can get a better job, and that even if shitty things happen it’s for a reason.

Wow! Ten years is a long period of time. I’m sure she did it well in her job. Her role was very important for many people.
Good luck for your mummy. Hope everything will fix in.

@twistermind she was very good at her job. And the people above her did not even have a social work degree so they were attempting to run a non profit as a business.

@Dariqueen Was it a business? Or a state job?
Here, social workers work for the State.
I’m sure she was. Any person who works in such a site tend to be very strong and empathetic to others. It’s a very hard work bc you have to deal with many tough situations in families.

@twistermind no it was a non profit. Generally here in Canada, non profits apply for grants and receive funding from the government and those funds are used to make new programs and counsel the public.

@Dariqueen I understand it. Thanks for thr clarification.
Any person has the right to get a salary or reward for his labour.
Hope your mother get another job. It was totally unfair what they did to her.

For sure, she was supposed to receive 10 months severance but did not so there will be some legal actions. @twistermind

@Dariqueen This is how scientists get to do their reasearches, through funding from the goverments but social workers depends on the State or the town halls to do their labour.

@Dariqueen This is exactly the only thing I don’t like from Canada.
Maybe, bc I’m very used to the sunny weather here, in the South.
But, I know for sure that it’s a country compromised with the human rights and the environment.
I love it. And the nature there is invaluable.

@twistermind yea I think I’ll stay, just take a warm vacation once in a while.
