A sincere apology where a person takes full responsibility for their words and or actions are rare... they usually come in the form of "I'm sorry for X, but it happened because of Y".
NO, that's BS and not an apology, it's the person shifting blame for their crappy/hurtful actions. So yeah, apologies usually do nothing but make you angry/more hurt.

@Ontheroad or they say they take responsibility but then aren't sorry for it ...wtf is that? Ugh fuq it ...it's been so long it should not even matter anymore...and it won't

@SW-User "and it won't" is the key and that isn't always an easy place to get to. One has to learn how to put those hurts in perspective and to lock them up and throw away they key.
