Times like these I feel I wasn't meant to be in a rigid working area as healthcare

My professors spend all day everyday stroking egos of filthy rich families of patients or kissing surgeons' as.ses cuz that's where the hospital's money comes from. There's no teaching, no training. Everything you ask you get told to "read a book". Yeah of course I'd read the book if I wasn't spending crazy hours scuttling around the hospital to make you money. And yes duh I'm reading at my own pace, a different topic. I'm not an all-knowing being with a gazillion eyes that can read everything in the medical encyclopedia in a fcking month for me to not have any basic questions. If the books are supposed to train us, we might as well just sit home and read the books and not come to work.

Edit: I have a lump in my throat from all the resentment I have towards how the world functions or perhaps at least the facet of it that the working class has to experience.
