Hello all, I just want to here give another unnecessary update, and just let out some verbal steam perhaps. I'm not so clear within as to what is to be done moment to moment, but one thing is clear to me, I need classic escapism in my literature.
The other day I listed off a few Fantasy series I want to read for the next 2 years, i've since put more into the mix.
In fact i've put most of the heavy hitters, and most of the ones that sound best. There's a bunch of booktubers who specialize in this genre, and I trust some of them, Mike's Book Reviews is one of the best, and there's another named Matt.
Now some old Matt videos he raves about an online serial that will be the longest Fantasy series ever, called The Wandering Inn, but a more recent video of his he complains that he's not loving it anymore and is thus dnf'ing in in volume 17 or so, and each volume is massive 4 digit page tomes. But I just started it, and is cozy goodness so far, a lady wakes up in a dusty Inn all by herself, and doesn't remember who she is all that well, like the brunette in Mulholland Drive.It's promising, a Litrpg which is a subgenre of Fantasy that's biggest series is Dungeon Crawler Carl, and that has an amazing audiobook version with Jeff Hays doing God tier voice work, but my issue with that is that it's just too darn silly, and crass.
An exhaustive list of all the series in the mix is still to be, perhaps it's an impossibility, with the "there's always more" dynamic working overtime. But my methodus operanianicus shall be that when I complete 10 novels, I post about them!!
