Sci fi and Fantasy series

There is a part of me that yearns for epic fantasy, i have a preconceived notion of that sort of reader, of getting completely lost in long stories that take up many volumes. So here i want to say what i have and am aware of, and if anyone wants to suggest something, thanks.

Booktuber Mike is my go to for these kinds of things, it's to him i'm psyched for Joe Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy, which has more trilogies in the same world. It's described as grimdark. George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire is known as grimdark too.

What i'm actually reading now is The Wheel of Time, as i see it as a prototypical fantasy series.

Malazan Book of the Fallen and the wider universe would be something to get to after Wheel of time.

Oh and King's Dark Tower ....

Then some classics like Herbert's Dune series, Asimov's Foundation series, and of course Tolkien's Middle Earth thang.

On the to get list is The Dresden Files, an urban fantasy series.

Getting into these things this late in the game of life is a little foolhardy for all the other things i want to read and watch, as they all require immense amounts of time, but this is my kind of crazy.

Sci fi, fantasy... I eat that stuff up

I favorite book I read, called All Tomorrows is kind of like a story of speculation. Humanity is scattered all across different planets by a god-like alien race that excels in genetic manipulation.

The author, C.M. Kösemen imagines how it would be for each human civilization to evolve and adapt to their natural habitats. Some become far more advanced or extremely primitive, but all far removed from the people they originally were.

I also love fantasy and sci fi. And others. Really i just love to read.
A great fantasy series is the death gate cycle by margaret weiss and tracy hickman. Its 7 books long. Amazing charecters and worlds.
Its from the same writers that wrote the dragonlance books.
