I just awoke from a nightmare
I dreamt that I was getting brought back into jail. Some sheriff with a very distinguished mustache kept slapping me in the face and saying: “I don’t want you focusing on anything other than the shame you feel after making such a stupid decision. You’ll be doing at least 5 years this time”
In the dream I was drinking and driving again. I had a passenger, someone who had decided to trust me after knowing I had a prior. Then there was a car accident. My passenger was hurt and covered in gasoline. The car was upside down. We were suddenly standing outside the car but still near it. She seemed to not understand just how much danger she was in even after the crash. I kept telling her to get away from any flame or heat. She just kept smiling for some reason.Thankfully I was able to rinse all the gasoline off off of her with a hose but she nearly died.
It felt so real. I really thought it was real. I’m so glad it was just a bad dream. And I know it was just a dream but I know people really do get hurt like this in the real world.
