I dream about people I've met a long time ago

And wake up and contact them because I believe my dreams signal things from my subconscious. If I dream about someone I haven't seen in years (and it is a nice person) I take it as a sign to reconnect. Maybe they've thought randomly of me too.

Sometimes I dream of concerning family matter and immediately call to check that my family is ok once I wake up. I just wanna be safe rather than sorry.

Maybe dreams mean something or maybe they mean nothing. But they do inspire and encourage me.
