I Love To Find Meaning In Dreams
I Had A Dream Of Hurricane Sandy..... Strange.. My beloved, who's hometown is on the North Eastern coast, was running with me hand in hand.. The water was everyone.. flooding.. and you could see just how high it had risen because of the devoured steps and how when I went into this lower part of the concrete, it was past my waist and soaking me while I tried to save this child.
The houses were destroyed and the town was desolate but with the area, I could tell this was once a a place of bustling life. We ran to this place that, in my dream, reminded me of Central Park at the time. I saw the grass some.. and saw the buildings far off in the distance. The sky was a marble blue.. And it was raining gently.
Then harshly.
The sky then became a dark blue.. as we were near the ba<x>se of this tree. We were so desperate to escape the rising waters, that we, my lover, me, child, and a Latino American (who I guess was a friend), climbed the tree.. to indure the storm.
It was rocking us fiercely. We had to cling onto the branches.. But sadly, this stranger, the other person, fell to his death. The child was crying.. And my love held on to him and me.. For what seemed like eternity.
But in the end, I recall how beautiful it was... The water was still there.. but you could feel this strange feeling of peace.. and calmness... The sun had finally paid us a visit.. and you could feel our struggle melt as we breathed deeply from relief..
Hopefully, this could be the turn out.. perhaps not physically at first, but a start over for the East Coast..
This dream was like 3 or 4 months ago... I'm not too surprised that it accurately came true.. It was just so.. hm.. interesting.. to listen to the news about this Hurricane in paticular and how interdependent we are on those states involved.
Weird.. Because it's been shown for people to dream of a huge disater before it happens..
So.. Did anyone else have a dream, is my question...
