If a thing is not a thing, it is a state, and if a state is not a state it is a country, and if a country is not a country it is a thing.
If you're looking at what is going to be changed, you will have to take your eyes off it while it's being changed.
Sometimes you'll have to say, do and hear something that is going to be something that wasn't what you were preparing to see it as.
If you go deep enough, the silliest things will cease to cause laughter, and cause rather a quicksand effect, where you sink down, and you're screaming, and flailing about, but underneath it is a bed, and you're already there, and when you wake up, you forget what was going on.
Depth is dream remembrance, but always only partial, for if we remembered in full, we'd have to be still dreaming.
