Who knows what "men" assume. I give people the benefit of the doubt, if they don't fit a specific pattern.
For instance, there's this one SW'er, who assumes the identify of a 22-25 female. A College student from Europe, with a rich family, yachts and all. She's either a nudist, or something like that.
She's usually fond of posting pages-long articles about history of the country "she's" from.
There's another "woman", also in the same age range. She posts about some issue she has with her boyfriend. It doesn't take long to figure out that story is bullshit.
They will try to engage using DMs.
Every once in a while, I comment asking them what they get out of this, and not too long later then block me.
While it's great that this medium is anonymous, it would be nice if people are whom they say they are.

You had the gall to accuse me of having more than one account, of being a fraud, so come on Mr. Northwest, reveal to me who these people are you have me confused with. In a DM if you like.
Perhaps they try to engage you using DM's because they don't like trolls like you making unsubstantiated accusations against them, and also perhaps because you're too much of a coward to address their concerns in public.
I haven't blocked you yet, so come on, tell me under which other name you think I'm going under.
