A Rhyme of Reawakening

by: Rob Paquin
Placid in my daydream as the rain falls from the sky
Staring out the window as I let the daydream die
Thinking over
How I've grown older
And wishing on the why's
Knowing that - All's not past
But I'm distanced from the cries
And like the path ahead of me, which I can only see so far
I look up to the sky above, but I can't see the stars
Contemplating
Generating
Another future scar
Knowing True - What I can do
Drawing from my reservoir
To feel myself reforming now as I come into a thought
That all the thousand setbacks were lessons I needed to be taught
Wondering as I often do
If again I'll soon be caught
Knowing now - That somehow
I will find the things I've sought
