I never understood People who were older and had no lovers or kids

But now I totally do. I don't think I want a lover or kids. Call me a coward but life is simpler when I'm alone.

Pretty simple.
Less libido and energy the older one grows.
Neither disappears completely, but it gets far easier to have choice in how one responds to inner drives, and it's no great loss if there's no physical lover. Far easier to satisfy oneself.
Energy becomes easier to direct into work, creativity and pleasurable forms of exercise.

On the other hand, I'm not actually alone. My husband and I never had kids, but we're great companions.

With climate change as it is, I wouldn't want to bring kids into this world.

@hartfire I guess it depends on the person. My grandpa is 80 something but still chases women. My dad is no different and the sad part is he's married.

Some people give up finding love at a young age and just settle for companionship. I don't think I can do that to myself.

I don't want kids for that exact reason. People panic when the population keeps growing and end up creating diseases just to control it. Just like now people are losing loved one because of this world wide pandemic. I don't want to put my kids through that. Maybe I could adopt
@Lichocolati Chasing woman is very different to being able to do anything about it if you catch one. There are plenty of old sex addicts who still flirt just out of habit, even when diagnosed with dementia.

Adopting is a great thing to do if you want kids.

Personally, it's global warming that bothers me the most about the future.

I don't believe these pandemics are engineered to reduce the population because capitalists rely on increasing population and consumption to drive profits.

Rather, diseases evolve and mutate naturally in the environment, therefore it is inevitable that new ones will sometimes affect humanity. Epidemiologists have been warning governments for the last twenty years about the lack of preparation for a pandemic. But governments typically choose not to accept warnings from experts until they see the reality happening around them - and even then, they are often painfully slow to take action.
During this pandemic, the governments that acted fastest and most rigorously were the ones that had the best success.

@hartfire I believe my granddad is still sexually active. He wouldn't chase for the sake of chasing now would he.

I wanna wait till I turn 40 to adopt. I've got so many things I want to do before bringing kids into my life.

Isn't global warming caused by humans too?

If someone created a disease and them came up with the cure they stand a chance to gain from it don't you think. Yes some diseases are natural but not all of them. This world we live in is filled with people who would do anything to live in luxury even if it means taking billions of lives.
@Lichocolati It's possible, but extremely rare.

I know from my past work in aged care that quite a few old men remain extremely flirtatious into late old age, but even though they chase, they're not after a physical conquest; they just want their chosen targets to give them a little ego lift, flirt back and make them feel that they a still attractive and loveable. Of course it is totally inappropriate for age carers to make love with their clients, but that doesn't stop the old geisers from trying it on. Sometimes the codger chooses a woman his age in a nursing home, and they have a full on romance, but the act itself is just cuddling, caressing and kissing in the bed.

The poet Victor Hugo was reputed to have 14 girlfriends at the age of 84, in addition to his wife. But whether they were his lovers and what they actually got up to, history does not tell.
Your Grandad might have been gifted with unusually high testosterone from early youth. From 18 years, the testosterone drops, on average, by 1% per annum.
Most women start out with 14 times less libido at their peak at 18 years, and also lose 1% p.a. The most highly libidinous women can have up to 7 times more progesterone than normal, but still half that of men of the same age.

No question from the science that the rate of global warming we have now is far above the natural rate, and is caused by human activity.

The myth of Covid having been deliberately created is just a ruse to try to put increased blame on China.
SARS-I hit the world 10 years ago and was traced back to bats sold as meat in a Chinese market. This SARS II Novel Corona Virus is a mutation of the first one, but definitely natural.
The scientists who first identified it are among those who've been working on a cure, but they began this work on SARS-I, a decade ago, and it is this work which has helped give all the other scientists around the world a starting place which has helped to speed up the research. Yet these guys won't be the ones to benefit financially. There are at least 6 radically different types of vaccine being developed, and 250 variations. It will be the labs that finally succeed that will benefit but they won't get what one might imagine. Governments will buy the licenses fro production, but it is the manufacturers and distributors who will get the lion's share of the profits. As in most cases, the inventors usually only get a tiny percentage.

If someone created a disease and them came up with the cure they stand a chance to gain from it don't you think. Yes some diseases are natural but not all of them. This world we live in is filled with people who would do anything to live in luxury even if it means taking billions of lives.

It is more factual to say the vast majority of diseases in the world are natural.
They fall into different categories according to their causes: pathogens, immunodeficiency, hypersensitivity, allergies, autoimmune disorders and genetically predisposed but triggered by environmental causes.
Pathogens include viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, multicellular organisms, and aberrant proteins.
To get some idea of how many there are among the most common, taKe a look at this list: https://www.cdc.gov/diseasesconditions/az/a.html
All of these are natural.

There are a very few man-made diseases, such as have been produced illegally for warfare.
There are also quite a few diseases that can cross into humans via human interactions with animals.

Anyone predisposed to believe in conspiracy theories is vulnerable to believing that COVID-19 was deliberately created to reduce the world's population. It isn't true.
We have the scientific proof of how it came about and how it took off.
And there is no one who benefits from the disease.

I hope you achieve all the things on your list before you adopt. It sounds like a full life. :)

@hartfire only God knows if this is natural or not. I can't really confirm COVIT but I think people are capable of doing sick things like that
@Lichocolati COVID seems to be a natural virus, like the last pandemic in 1918 that was obviously not created in a lab as the technology didn’t exist. But even assuming it was, the companies like Pfizer and Moderna that will be profiting from the vaccine have no connections to China where the virus originated.
Lichocolati · 31-35, F
@LeopoldBloom Now I'm not so sure COVIT was created, not since I discovered our government has been lying to us about the people dying from the flu. Seems like every death be it natural or getting stabbed is recorded under COVIT and it's all because they want money from WHO. I also saw a video of these old white men talking about the vaccine and that some billionaire organization invented this vaccine for population control. They also said a lot of racist things about who this vaccine has been created for. You guessed right if you thought one of them mentioned Africa was useless and deserved to have people die because he did. It surprised me because I've never asked anything from anybody. It left me wondering how my existence bothered them so much that they'd create this deadly vaccine
@hartfire "Less libido and energy the older one grows."

That may be true for some but it's not true for me. I have just as much of that as I did when I was a teenager. I don't know why but I certainly do. 😂
