Also, according to Search Assist
"In the Bible, joy is defined as a profound and abiding sense of happiness and contentment that is rooted in spiritual realities rather than temporary circumstances. It is considered a fruit of the Spirit and can be experienced even in trials, reflecting a deep trust in God and His promises."
I have experienced the Biblical kind of joy, once in a while, but not the worldly type of joy. Everything that has brought me great positive emotions, outside of being close to God, has been something that I ultimately became addicted to and have to give up because I can't seem to do" the everything in moderation" thing.🤷♀
I think that if I could master the "everything in moderation" I might be able to find some joy in this world that would be good for me, and I wouldn't have to eventually give up.🤔
It isn't that I am not happy because I am. I have a good life, people who love me, and enough of everything I need. I am content, but not like jumping for joy.🤷♀
