My friend confused me missing them for me feeling "lonely". I didn't catch up on it then, but suddenly I realized just now.

When I said that I missed him, he said I should make new friends so that I don't feel lonely.
I just want to clear up that fact that I can feel completely fulfilled and still miss the people that are important to me. It doesn't require for me to be lonely to ever think of them. I can't believe someone could think that! In a way I feel, it's a projection of how he thinks of himself. That he can't be missed until the very end of the list when all priorities have been checked and he's the last one left. I'm not sure whether to feel offended at that comment, or to feel sad for him.

I think I always say something like I missed you to someone I haven’t talked to in a while. It’s politeness, not loneliness. lol.
