I Believe That Thoughts Are Things
This goes further than The Law of Attraction. Thoughts are energy, vibrations, electrical synaptic impulses and the connect to your heart and your quantum energy field. Your thought have power and you have a choice whether to think them or not.
Thoughts are not involuntary! Yes, it may feel that way but you have control over what thoughts you respond to and which ones you let go. Some thoughts are helpful others are harmful and some are neutral.
I've been reading about this a lot lately and working on it myself. You can start with Louise Hay "You can heal yourself" and work your way up to Joe Dispenza "Break The Habit of Being Yourself" and "The Placebo Effect". Also, if you like documentaries... check out Gaia.com or FMTV.com for documentaries from both these authors and more!
The point is whatever you think- you believe... and your beliefs form the basis of your life; good, bad or indifferent... Your life responds appropriately to your thoughts whether they are good, clear, confused, inconsistent, abundant, appropriate- Your life responds. Your body responds. You control it all.
Change your thoughts, change your life!
How?
haha That's the million dollar question!
I think meditation and mindfulness practice is the best way but it requires consistency and practice. It's not a one time deal. You shouldn't be "efforting" and trying, but it's not an overnight fix. You need space and awareness to your thoughts and asking the right questions. Asking different questions changes everything!!!! From there, you are open to learn, explore, find answers and let go of beliefs that don't benefit you. There are practices to raise your vibration, field of energy- even if you don't believe in Abraham story from Abraham-Hicks (which I am not even sure I do), but many of the practices in the back of the book "Ask and It Is Given" are phenomenal. When you are stuck in one way of thinking, the exercises expands your view and allows you to see that other options are available. Some of my favorite process exercises include:
1. #18 Finding the Feeling Place
2. #17 The Focus Wheel process (there is a great video on youtube about how to do it)
3. #16 Pivoting
4. #13 Which thought Feels Better
5. #12 Wouldn't It be Nice If...
6. #8 The Book of Positive Aspects
7. #1 The Rampage of Appreciation
