Why am I still alive?

This question I am asking to myself almost daily.

4 years ago my mother died. 😞
She was the last person I had a connection with.
Since she is gone there‘s no one in my life anymore. 😢

I still have a brother with wife and three kids. But they have rejected already my mother when she was still alive, and since the day she died there‘s almost no contact more at all between us.

I’ve tried to find friends. I’ve really tried.
But everything failed.

I’ve found a few friends here. But all of them disappeared after a couple of years without saying just „goodbye“ although we had almost daily contact.
My last friend disappeared two years ago - without any reason, without to say anything. One of his last sentences he has written to me was that „I am perfect“ and that he is so glad to have found a friend in me. 😞
His disappearance plunged me into a deep depression and I haven‘t completely overcome yet. 😞😞

Then the doctor diagnosed the beginning of cancer. Before the surgery started I begged him to not let me wake up anymore. Of course he didn’t listen to me. 🥺

When I recognized that I have survived the cancer I was convinced that there must be a reason why I survived and I tried really to LIVE.

I started to join in a hiking group to get anyhow contacts to human beings. But I became ill again and needed another surgery. And when I returned I’ve seen that they have kicked me out. Well. 😐

I’ve started some other tries with other groups but everywhere the same thing.

To crown it all I get hostillities in real life. There are people who tell me that I am unwanted here and that I shall remigrate. But the question is: WHERE to I shall remigrate? Because I was born in this country, I am a native, and I am working in three jobs. Where to start a new life?
Sometimes, when I hear after 9 hours in work that I shall leave this country… sometimes I am just sitting in my armchair and cry bitterly. 😭😭

Sometimes I am looking at my phone. I even take it in my hand, look at it… But I know there‘s no one to talk to, no one to write to… not a single person.

My last try was to join the meetings from the tourist guides of my town (I am one of them). They are meeting every month directly beside my house. But all of them are pensioners (except me), and to the time they are meeting I am working.
And of course they rejected to change the time for a couple of hours so that I could join there too.

And this is my life now: Working around 60-70 hours in a week, coming home, eating something and put on TV. Not because I am interested in TV but to bridge the totally silence in my house.

Sometimes I see couples or families outside, eating together, walking, whatever…

And then tears come into my eyes and I am asking myself: „Why I have to be alone my whole life? Did I do something wrong? Is it karma?“

I don’t believe that the hell is in afterlife. I believe that the hell is here, on our earth.

It’s been so long!

I’m sorry for your loss ❤
I wish I had words of encouragement for you ,but its the sad reality of life.We have all come alone in this world and we all would go back alone .Hence,
Lonliness is a constant .But instead of seeing it as a karmic curse why don’t you reverse the outlook ?Read books ,do gardening, self talk ,join social media groups, have conversations with strangers,go to crowded places or malls ,do some sort of social work ,Cultivate some hobbies.Hope that’ll make you feel better.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@Caleidoscope Yeah… of course I am talking to myself from time to time. And I am doing social work - at least 60 hours a week, because this is my job. (I am a social worker). But this is just another reason for people to hate me because I am working with refugees.

Well, it is what it is…

Why do they tell you to remigrate? 😧
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@CrazyMusicLover Of course you are right. But since a few years some „patriots“ make big differences between „Full-blood-Germans“ and „half-blood-Germans.“

But I am not the only one with this problem. One of my coworkers (a German too) has left because of this Germany and moved with her boyfriend to Austria because they couldn’t bare all this hostillities.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@Loretta78 This is honestly messed up. I am a bit shocked tbh.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@CrazyMusicLover I think there are more hostillities - also in other countries.
But the point is this:
When you have a partner on your side, a relative, friends… or just ONE friend… you can deal with this.

But when you are completely alone day by day, week by week, year by year… then it is very difficult to handle it. 😞

Loss is so hard. I've been dealing with it myself for a couple years and it really does leave you wondering what the fucking point of everything is. Very tough to navigate. I hope you'll keep searching though. Purpose or not we're here and need to make the most of it.
All I can say is I've missed you here and thought of you. Your last post had been about the cancer diagnosis and I am very happy to see you now, here, again.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@robingoodfellow Thanks. ♥
You have been always very kind. ♥

Nevertheless I don’t think that I will come often back here. I’ve seen that SW is not very good for me… 😑
@Loretta78 well, all I can say is I hope I see more of you.

I feel like I'm living in the aftermath of my own life too. I still talk to a few people, but it's limited contact.
Hi Loretta, LONG time no see.
I would have sent a PM but you asked not to.
Sorry to hear of your situation. PM me if you want to
There you are, Loretta. I have wondered what had happened to you. I cannot answer as to what or why. I can say he didn't throw you away. He is our dear friend still. He is just busy with his life. I wish you felt better. Some of us are meant to be alone.

@PoetryNEmotion

For the first part: I wished I could believe you but sadly I know that a bit better - 💯 %.

For the second part: Yep. It took me 48 years to understand that but now I know that.

As a mongrel that is truly alone, I can only say you, must find your own reasons.

Persistence is it's own reward.
