You Give Me Chills

In the morning as I rise
Behind these sleepy weary eyes
Thoughts of you filled up my night
Inside my land of dreams

And as so often is the case
Thoughts of you make my heart race
Into the void you fill that space
That often wants to scream

For inside my faulty broken soul
There is a heart so filled with holes
And far too often I've lost control
Of my erratically felt emotions

But I'm learning how to regulate
So that I can be a place that's safe
And hopefully I'm not too late
And I can prove my sweet devotions
